These classes are recommended for women in the latter part of their 3rd trimester, who have birthed before and want a refresher. The classes are designed to teach you about the process of labor and understanding the signs of labor as well various labor coping techniques (both medicated and unmedicated).

 

Topics include:

 

  • Labor and variations of labor
  • Signs of labor (when to call/go to hospital or call doctor, midwife, and doula)
  • Comfort Measures for Labor
  • Pain Management for Labor
  • Prelabor and myths of False Labor
  • Postpartum - The First 6 weeks
  • Breastfeeding
  • Basic Baby Care
